Christopher French is a multi-instrumentalist and composer from the coast of Northern California. As a teenage guitarist & songwriter he started experimenting with various tape machines (considered vintage by today’s standards) and electronic instruments, then went on to spend his formative years touring and recording with alternative rock bands like The Why Game and Annie Automatic.

After attending the Musician’s Institute for Recording in Los Angeles, he began expanding his mastery of recording and composition, and attended Berklee College of Music for Film Scoring & Orchestration. More recently he has been releasing experimental electronic and ambient music since 2018.

With a uniquely diverse list of scoring credits so far he’s had the invaluable opportunity, early in his career, to hone his musical instincts in a wide variety of genres. Some notable credits include working with the Duplass Brothers on their feature film ‘Unlovable’ & HBO series “On Tour with Aspergers Are Us” with director Alex Lehmann, ‘Modern Love’ for Amazon Prime, documentaries ‘Two If By Sea’ and the groundbreaking ‘Nureongi’ along with seasons 1-3 of Warner / DC’s ’Harley Quinn’ on HBO Max. He also teamed up with Alex Lehmann again on his feature ‘Acidman’ which premiers at Tribeca in 2022.
